Chrome is gaining market share
By building some great Chrome Extensions for some large publishers, we are betting on the Chrome browser growing like a weed. And it certainly is continuing its great early performance, taking more market share out of IE last month.
I don’t think many people will be sorry to see IE drop market share, but it’s also interesting to note that Safari isn’t growing much despite all of the iPhones and iPads being sold that run Safari by default.
Chrome is up to 6.73% of the market, growing around .5% every single month! And IE is dropping almost 1% a month. It will be very interesting to see how long it takes for Chrome to start getting near Firefox in popularity – we’ve seen massive swings in browser dominance before, and this might well be the beginning of another.
